MemOyoU (Memorandum Of Understanding), a series of artwork, which investigates relationships in the span of ten years of the life of Santi Lawrachawee. The exhibition features personal scattered text from his own daybooks and photographs of rivers that are captured through traveling and images representing his past situations. Both texts and photographs are gathered into a chunk of thoughts as a recollection of his present life through an image and message of that memory. Some are investigated via physical and visual art compositions and are examined through philosophy, metaphor, emotion, and a new short story. This exhibition is as an augmented reality of the memories which are reformed from various scattered parts and uncertainty questioning “what is real?” or ‘what is created?’ – Santi Lawrachawee
が自らの過去10年間を振り返り再考察をする展示会、MemOyoU（覚書）が開催されます。 本エキシビションでは、彼の日記に書かれたメモ書き、当時の彼の心情を表すイメージや旅先で切り取った川の写真などに焦点をあてています。 当時の写真やメッセージは彼の現在の生活を想起させる思考の集合体となっており、そこから、哲学、比喩、感情、新しい短編ストーリーなどを介して、物理的かつ視覚的なアート作品として掘り下げられていきます。 このエキシビションでは「何がリアルなのか」「何が創られるのか」といった不確かな問いかけと、散在する様々なものにより再構築された記憶の拡張された現実を垣間見ていただけたら幸いです。
Online Exhibition for UNKNOWN ASIA 2021
“UNKNOWN ASIA 2021” aims to be a hybrid art fair that combines a real venue with an online presence.
In order to keep the place of new value creation with artists that we have cherished, we will create a place for creative communication that is not bound by country or region by creating an environment that is easy to access and safe for all participants. UNKNOWN ASIA is a gathering of cutting-edge artists from Japan and other Asian countries.

Eric Chu さんは「I was deeply moved by MemOyoU, a Santi Lawrachawee’s exhibition of his own ten-year memoirs. In these works, I witnessed the process of an artist’s continuous self-reflection, and these fragments eventually gathered and became everything about life. It is touching to take river as a metaphor for the life reflection journey, and it presents an Oriental philosophy world view. His work allows us to think quietly in this chaotic world. I’m very grateful for its existence.
