For several past years…(From my very first solo exhibition on)
I still live amidst the crash of overwhelming information. There are still various kinds of media such as talking news, the leader’s talk to the people, supernatural program, prejudiced newspapers, social and environmental campaigns, paparazzi magazines in convenient stores, advertorials in newspaper, magazines and short television programs as well as a same presenter with 10 products.
For several past years…
the virtual world has been popularly spread out, and it attracted me to play a part.
Obviously, it becomes wider and flatter.
In that world…people share and exchange their ideas.
In that world…I see many people with the same and the different opinions.
In that world… there are many reasons and intensions as well as phenomena and expressions.
In that world…something looks as if the real one.
In that world…I am not sure about anything at all.
In that world…I wonder what I can or cannot represent.
In that world…I ask myself how I should actually be.
In that world…it is my own space or the public’s.
For several past years…
there are some tragedies struck my country.
Some of my friends disappear, while other new ones walk into my life.
The world in my view is changed again and again. It becomes such a unique world of individuals.
I see myself differently, and I has never been the same in each second.
For several past years…
I still try to find my own position for various aspects of life.
Even if I feel nothing can identify myself, the identity turns to be made up of all the things around me.
My pieces of work just put “the virtual world” and “me myself” into an unfamiliar context and diverse positions by only switching my visions: left-right, front-back, over-below as well as outside-inside.
